You can STILL create the dance career of your dreams

Over the last nine months, I’ve been watching the dance industry transform from “how it’s always been” to “how it is now.” The way we educate, entertain, and create has gone virtual or socially distant. As the world continues to evolve and the effect of COVID-19 continue to unfold, we as artists need to do the same. As much uncertainty as there is in the future, I’ve noticed a vast amount of opportunities that are unfolding for dance artists.

The truth is, dancers are still taking class, engaging in new processes, and finding ways to show their work. Our job now, is to find the ways to make it happen for ourselves.

What is Momentum Coaching Club?

Now in its second iteration, MCC is a 10-week program for pre-professional dancers to gain the skills they need to find their own success as they step into the dance world.

Each week, participants will engage in a virtual lesson with me, followed by a discussion and Q&A session. The lesson each week will range from resume and reel creation to social media managing and content creation.

After that, participants will have the opportunity to share any audition materials or work they have created for notes and feedback. This program is designed to bridge the gap between the pre-professional and professional dance life.

Fall 2021 dates to be announced at a later time

“This program has given me confidence and clarity in helping me define who I am as an artist. It has also given me the tools to work through my specific challenges in my career/growth. And lastly, it has kept me accountable to continue working on my craft.”
— Fall 2020 MCC Participant

Who is it for?

This program is designed for pre-professional dancers from the age of 17-23. This program is best for dancers in their final year of school and recent grads.

What is the commitment?

We will meet every Sunday alternating between 1PM and 8PM EDT. Each meeting will last about an hour, however, I will remain on the call as long as needed to engage in discussions or answer questions. For the participants who miss a week or two, all sessions are recorded and shared via a closed facebook group.

Along with the weekly meetings, I will be offering homework assignment each week that are designed to prepare participants for the professional world. The homework assignments are self guided so times will vary assignment to assignment.

What do you get?

By the end of this program, you will create the materials you need to submit to both in-person and virtual auditions and gain the skills you need to be a valuable collaborator in a process or performance. Other benefits include:

  • Access to myself and other pre-professional dancers.

  • Discussions with current dance industry professionals

  • Creation of a strategy to tackle your career head on with more confidence, energy, and specificity.

  • Access to weekly online webinars and discussions

  • Admission to a closed Facebook Group where I will share webinar recordings, audition information, and exclusive opportunities for those in the program.

  • Group coaching with me, Brandon Coleman!

But this program seriously changed the way I think about myself as an artist and it has shown me how much agency I have in making my biggest hopes and dreams happen.”
